SOUL PATH RENEWAL:

Deepen your Connection to your Soul Wishes

using ongoing access to the Wisdom of

SoulCollage® and Spiritual Autobiography

with Gail McMeekin, LICSW, and Deborah Knox

August 20 – 24, 2018

Welcome to the Summer of Love, our 2nd Annual SOUL PATH RENEWAL Retreat at Ferry Beach, Saco Maine.

Love comes in all sizes and shapes, and surprisingly at different stages of life.  Whether you are in a committed long term relationship, living  alone, or feeling a part of a strong community, you know Self Love is at the heart of your deepest connections.  But since change can always be anticipated, it’s essential to take time out to reflect on the current state of your heart.   Regardless of your current situation, knowing what you want and need to experience more love in your life, is crucial to creating a life infused with a deep connection to your souls wishes.

Eighteen months ago, I left behind an empty nest, having lived alone for most of my adult years.  In 2016 I had finally decided to sell my condo and right size my life, as it was no longer sustainable.  In getting rid of the “stuff” one accumulates over the years, I experienced a welcome sense of detachment to much of what had previously existed in my life. As I let go of the old, a new story began to emerge. And a new me. Deeper, more authentic than I’d ever known before.  As we all know, change can take time and even though we may feel it is necessary and therefore should be immediate, we discover we truly benefit from the lessons learned during a slow period of adaptation. Discovering how the story unfolds strengthens the connection to your soul path.

Gaining clarity on who you are, who you are becoming and what is important to you, can make all the difference in the world as you live your story on a daily basis. That clarity which emerged for my new lifestyle, was not apparent at the beginning, but on reflection I saw how necessary the time was to allow the fullness of it to come together. I was ready for change in all significant areas of my life: work/career; housing/lifestyle; and relationship.  Change in any one of several areas, but when tripled in this way, can be extremely stressful. And yet, it wasn’t, actually.  The more we know ourselves the better we are able to connect all the dots… and how to facilitate that process of reflection. For me, heightening the awareness came through the power of crafting and re-crafting my story by writing from my core. One of the aspects of crafting one’s Spiritual Autobiography.

Once again, Gail and I will be using the powerful tools of Spiritual Autobiography and Soul Collage (R) to provide valuable insight about where you are and where you are going. You’ll explore imagery and create collages that pull deep from your unconscious. The writing and sharing of our stories through the wisdom of our Spiritual Autobiographies provides deep awareness to your process of creating your life as you connect deeply with your soul wishes.

Consider the possible change points that might be occurring RIGHT NOW in your life.  How might the gift of this retreat reconnect you with your soul wishes and the perfect way to end your Summer of Love.

  • Could there be a new thread emerging in your storyline?
  • Are you considering adapting to a new lifestyle?
  • Is it time to re-write your story with a different slant?
  • Do you have work/career goals that require an infusion of self love?
  • Are you fulfilling your life’s story and living your life’s purpose?
  • Are you in a transition that seems to be taking forever?
  • How would you benefit from 4 days of immersion into refining your focus and creating more love in your life?

We hope you’ll join us again – or for the first time – at Ferry Beach Conference Center at Saco, Maine, from August 20 – 24th to renew your commitment to living your life to it’s fullest

FORMAT

We’ll be meeting in small groups to share individual insights, and gather together to refresh ourselves with the tools of SoulCollage® and Spiritual Autobiography as we deepen our self understanding.  Returning participants will meet in small groups to further the work begun last year.  New participants will experience the power of these tools in creating a life of love.  By creating vibrant images through the written word and attention to your soul murmurings you will discover a path of deepening personal renewal.

We meet from 9 – 12 and again from 2:30 – 5:00 pm.  So there’s time for lunch, a nap or being on the beach. Plus we take real breaks during the workshop for doing writing, finding new images, walking and breathing in the fresh soft ocean breeze. If the group is interested we can meet in the evening after dinner at 7 pm for an hour and listen to each other’s stories.  Simple, easy “assignments” to take advantage of the work we’ll be sharing are suggested.

Gail and I hope you’ll join us for this soul-filled retreat to renew your life with love, light and well-being.  To learn more, and for early registration, please go to the link below.

TESTIMONIALS

I highly recommend the “Soul Path” workshop with Deb Knox and Gail McMeekin. I recently spent 4 days with these wonderful facilitators and a group of 12 – 14 participants at beautiful Ferry Beach, Maine. We spent our time making and sharing SoulCollage(R) Cards and writing/sharing personal spiritual stories from our lives. The space that Deb and Gail created was very safe and nurturing. I came home feeling deeply connected with the other participants, as well as with a new found connection with myself. Carol R

I LOVED IT! I love the combination—through this spiritual autobiography process I can explore memories and events in my life to discover their meaning, influence, and impact on me. Susan F

A great way to access the inner wisdom of your life stories when we are bombarded with media and information. We are losing connection to our own thoughts and inner guide. Carol G

“This workshop established a safety zone for me to prepare for an uncertain family health future”. Judy B

I experienced a life-changing, re-framing of my long life…I learned that, as I wrote, “I am my story”, not the negative one I tell myself, but the whole story this time.  I learned that I am all that I have learned, shared, given.  I am all I have accomplished and aspired to, not just the leaps that landed short of the goal and traumas that set me back.  I learned that my accomplishments are not luck or totally someone else’s doing.  “I am not just my story”- the one I have told myself.  “I am more than my story.” I choose to rewrite my story and honestly embrace and build on who I have become and perhaps was all along.  What did I take away? Peace, levity, freedom and joyful anticipation. Leslie S
