Bullying in the Workplace – a hazard to your health

by Deborah Knox on October 13, 2011

The statistics around bullying indicate the severity of the problem in today’s workplace. 81% of bullies are bosses and managers and 82% of targets eventually lose their jobs. And what makes it worse, in my opinion, is that *98% of bullying is witnessed or known by other employees but it isn’t reported.  Guess why? It’s often not dealt with and individuals tend to not want to make waves for the bully.  Targets often  feel isolated and alone; they tend to ascribe their misery to their own incompetence and that they are the cause of the misery—not the bully.

Bullying in the Workplace …it’s not just kids stuff.
